This November, Driftime®'s CCO, Abb-d Taiyo, will be speaking at Design Council’s Design for Planet Festival to discuss how Driftime® use storytelling and visual language to influence real change.

Can visual storytelling change the world?

With this year’s theme being design for planet-positive business, the design community are taking their seat at the Design for Planet festival to share how design can help businesses prosper whilst also regenerating the planet.


Design for Planet Festival is back for the fourth year, this time reckoning with what it means to be at the helm of a planet-positive business, held at Manchester School of Art. By resetting what it means to conduct a fundamental redesign of what businesses are for, Design Council are advocating for the planet once again, bringing together a whole host of business pioneers, government leaders, and design experts to shed some light on how design can achieve both economic and environmental good.

Digital designers, as the largest and fastest-growing group of designers in the UK, have a unique opportunity to influence change. Creating compelling graphics and striking visuals can capture attention and drive awareness for key climate issues and solutions.

The notion of profit versus purpose is a tiring, outdated and lazy argument that we’ve been discussing and debating for years now.
